Ningún fan de The Wave Pictures se podrá quejar jamás de que le falte nuevo material de la banda para escuchar. Incluyendo el homenaje a Bruce Springsteen, los británicos ha publicado cinco discos en cuatro años.
El próximo se llamará Beer In the Breakers, ha sido producido por el padre espiritual de estos chicos, Darren Hayman, y verá la luz el 18 de abril a través de o Moshi Moshi.
En declaraciones de David Tattersal, el disco quiere reflejar el magnífico ambiente que ha vivido el grupo durante sus última giras, en las que han disfrutado especialmente del directo. Momentos, a buen seguro, como estos.
“We’d been enjoying playing together live more than ever on recent tours and simply wanted to record the band the way it sounds these days. When you do things live, you obviously sacrifice perfection in the hope that instead you will capture these kind of strange and glorious spontaneous moments that musicians create together, that no one could do on their own, and that you can only get with live performance. It was probably the happiest record experience we have ever had.”
