La Habitación Roja viajó el año pasado hasta Chicago para grabar con Steve Albini su último LP, Cuando ya no quede nada. Parece que aquellas sesiones con el mítico productor de Nirvana y Pixies (entre tantos otros), fueron bastante más fructiferas de lo que podía contener un mismo disco, así que los valencianos se trajeron bastante material, que poco a poco va viendo la luz.
Sin ni tan siquiera esperar a que Cuando ya no quede nada se enfriara en las tiendas, publicaron un mini-cd de seis temas titulado Posidonia ,y en esta misma y prolíficaa línea, vuelven a editar un nuevo medio tiempo, en este caso, el single de “Esta no será otra canción de amor”, acompañado por nada más y nada menos que 6 canciones inéditas.
El público, lejos de saturarse, ha respondido la cuantiosa inspiración de La Habitación Roja que esta semana, han desbancado a Mónica Naranjo en el número uno de la lista de sigles más vendidos en España. Por primera vez, un número uno para los valencianos.

El jueves en la Sala Copérnico de Madrid, los valencianos presentaban su single en la capital, y aprovechando el concierto, celebraban su éxito en las listas y según sus propias palabras, “su mejor momento”.
Ante un Copérnico casi lleno comenzaron facilones, “Esta no será otra canción de amor”. Continuaron animados recuperando hits anteriores -“La vida moderna”, “Largometraje” -, para luego contemporizar un poco con canciones más tranquilas – “París ardiendo”, “Posidonia”, “Los Ciclos de la vida”. Por desgracia, reduciendo revoluciones, La Habitación roja perdieron mucha efectividad, a pesar de que empeñaron en mostrarse agradecidos y muy dicharacheros con un público poblado mayoritariamente por fans irredentos.
Para culminar la actuación, “El eje del mal” dio paso a dos canciones ya clásicas y coreadísimas, “La edad de oro” y sobre todo “Cuando ya no quede nada”, rematada por un inspiradísimo Jorge con una acústica, el público a los coros y una nueva versión del estribillo, “Que será de Frodo, cuando ya no quede Galdalf”. La gente encantada pidiendo más.
Después de la pausa, su mejor canción, “Mi habitación”, las más polémica “Tened piedad del expresidente” – mucho aznarista se les echó encima en los foros – y para culminar la noche, una de las más románticas (que valga la redundancia), “Los últimos Románticos”.
Efectivamente, como decía Jorge, su mejor momento. Por cierto, destacar que Pau, el bajo más histriónico de la música española, estuvo tranquilo. Ni tirar el instrumento, ni tirarse de cabeza al público, ni tocar en medio de los fans, ¡soso!.
